The discerning owner of this simply stunning Aston Martin wasn't happy with the Linn system fitted at the factory, so contacted Prestige to see what solution we could devise. Because the factory CD/Radio/sat nav system is heavily integrated into the dashboard, changing this wasn't an option, so we fitted a Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 Digital Sound Processor to clean up the source, and fed this into a rather special, bespoke Genesis/Prestige Audio Aston Martin amplifier which were made for the factory a few years ago. This powers up some DLS speakers and 8" subwoofer, all mounted invisibly behind the standard grilles. An iPod is mounted in the centre console to give many hours of easy to access music at the driver's fingertips. DB9s have the speakers very high in the doors which can lead to them sounding rather one sided, as the driver's speaker is so much closer than the passenger side. The time delay ability of the processor allows a very realistic sound stage.
