A car with phenomenal performance which was desperately in need of a suitably performing audio system! The brief was to aim for the ultimate in sound quality, with the scope to hit some fairly serious sound pressure levels when required. The system is headed up by the latest Alpine Double DIN touchscreen DVD unit with integral iPod controller, connected to an Alpine DVD navigation system. The front stage is a fully active Dynaudio 3 way setup with 1" tweeters and 3" soft dome mids in custom alcantara trimmed A-Pillar builds, and a trio of 5.25" mid bass units in each door. A brace of Diamond Audio D9 TDX 12" subwoofers in a perspex backed ported enclosure provide the kick with 1600 watts of Diamond Audio D7 amplifier up their voice coils! More Diamond Audio D7 amplification powers the front end fully actively, with an Alpine PXA-H701 processor to time align, crossover and equalise the signal.
